Caravan owners advised to check policies

People with caravans have been urged to check their
insurance policies before going on holiday.
A spokesperson for the Association of British Insurers (ABI) said that caravan
insurance is of particular importance at the current time due to the frequent instances of severe weather.
While flood
insurance is standard on most policies, some do have limits for individual items and owners should make sure everything is fully covered before making a journey in their caravan or leaving it on site, the ABI representative said.
She advised: "It's always important to insure things. It looks like we're only going to get more extreme weather conditions with climate change.
"Check your policy limits for individual items and, if you're taking stuff away that is more expensive than your policy limits, then get it listed."
According to statistics from the Caravan Club, 19 per cent of UK people take caravan holidays.
