New Xbox on sale in UK this August

Elite, the new 'super XBox' will go on sale in Europe on August 24th, Microsoft has announced.The Xbox Elite was released in the US in April. There is as yet no word from the manufacturer on the initial UK price of the console, which currently retails in America for $480.
The console is a revamped version of the Xbox 360, and will be capable of displaying and storing high definition video. The Elite also has a larger, 120GB hard drive.
Owners will receive a wireless console and a headset bundled with the machine. Video downloads are also to be made available for users of the console from Microsoft by the end of the year.
Shane Kim of Microsoft said: "We really feel like we are driving the next generation console market".
Mr Kim also claimed that sales of the new Xbox are currently double those of Sony's Playstation 3, and were "neck and neck" with Nintendo's Wii.
He also denied that Xbox prices would soon be cut, contradicting widespread industry rumours.
