Trumpo tickled pink following conversation with piggybrankrupt.
I had the pleasure of speaking to a website publisher today who is doing a great job for those in financial difficulty.
I had a call saying “Hi Trumpo – Piggy here” Piggy runs a website called piggybankrupt, and it’s as much as a diary thats turning into a business, and like Trumpo he runs a very informative blog for those needing a little cheery help.
Mark (AKA Piggy), is a young man from the financial services industry who became Bankrupt, and he is providing a genuine counselling service to those in great difficulty and he is now pointing people in the right direction following his own personal experiences.
He did raise some concerns regarding firms preying on the financially vulnerable, certain firms are offering to write off credit card and loan agreements, and that a number of dubious sharks had been charging up front fees for doing so. We both agreed that this practice was very dodgy and we should warn people from the rooftops about the sector and advise to avoid paying anybody promising the earth – I even read a story in Crains (A North West Business Paper) from a solicitor who said that the sector had basically been shut down by a judge and it may take a few years to see if certain agreements can be wrote off, so anybody charging any fees upfront is genuinely deceiving people.
He asked me what I thought about property prices and we talked about the respective blogs, we where both of the opinion that first time buyers would be daft to buy now while prices are still declining, but we agreed they would start to stabilise in the next 12 – 24 months and 2010 should be when first time buyers should start to return.
On a brighter note, we can have a little fun just by the names we call ourselves and our friends, maybe we should make all MP’s choose a cartoon character to reflect themselves, maybe then we could take them a little bit more seriously!
Your tickled Trumpo.
