In a not so surprising move, and 5 months of dithering later the Chancellor has taken Northern Rock into state ownership.

I take no pleasure in writing this Blog entry, because I know from personal experience that thousands of good people have lost their jobs, and the 5 month circus since September, mainly as a result of Government incompetence, has resulted in more job losses than there should have been. Had the powers that be known what they were doing and acted swiftly and competently this could have been put to bed a long time ago.

The only positive from the news today is that we can now put this sorry affair behind us and try and rebuild credibility, and try and save the jobs of those left from this almighty train crash. Northern Wreck - may you RIP!
