Standard Life and Scottish Widows withdraw from life insurance market.

In a move seen by the independent advisory industry as inevitible. Two giants of the personal life insurance market appear to be have been priced out of the game.

At Trumpo we provide access to the majority of companies by providing access to trusted whole of market advisers. And when we spoke to a selection of these advisers the consensus is that Standard Life and Socttish Widows have never really been able to compete and have always been too expensive.

In a strange move however, Scottish Widows have stated that they will still sell their expensive insurance policies through Scottish Widows owner and high street bank Lloyds TSB - lucky customers!
