This is the prominent marketing message adopted by a couple of US banking entrepreneurs looking to capitalise on the shattered reputation of UK banks.

At a time when everybody hates the bank, what a fantastic slogan for a new “non UK” bank coming to a high street near you.

The business is the brainchild of Amercian entreprenur Vernon Hill. And what a message to launch your planned 200 branch Metro Bank, why not go go the whole hogg and say “lover your bank” & “hate your old one”. Trumpo thinks it’s brilliant.

With Virgin due to launch early next year, Tesco making great strides and Swedish bank Handlesbanken making great inroads, it looks like we may have a new banking order on the high street soon.

Trust Trumpo Bank.. nice ring about it don’t you think?
